Legrand Group collects and processes your data in accordance with the data protection regulation, namely Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European parliament and of the Council (GDPR), French legislation “Informatique et Libertés” n°78-17, and any other European or national regulations in this area, likely to be added subsequently (hereinafter referred to as “Data Protection Regulation”).

These data are collected on the basis of our legitimate interest of improvement of customer relationship and on the basis of your consent for commercial prospection. We inform you that data you communicate to us will be cross-referenced the data we already have and can be used for the creation of your customer sheet on our customer relationship management tool Salesforce.

We keep the data you communicate to us for a duration required for the processing of your request and for a maximum period of 3 years from the execution of the services, according to the reason of your request. Data you communicate relating to a dissatisfaction on one of our products are kept for a maximum period of 10 years.

  • Right of rectification: you can request de correction, completion, update of your personal data if they are inaccurate, incomplete, ambiguous and/or outdated;
  • Right to erasure: you can ask to delete your personal data under certain conditions (e.g. according to article 17 GDPR, if your personal data are not necessary anymore for the purposes for which they have been collected or are processed; or if you have withdrawn your consent for the processing of your personal data, provided that consent was the legal basis for the collect and the processing and that there is no other legal basis justifying it);

  • Right to data portability: you have the right to receive your personal data – when they are processed based on your consent or for the execution of a contract – in a structured, commonly-used, and machine-readable format, and you can ask us to transmit these data to another controller (e.g., to another service provider);
  • Right to withdraw your consent: you can withdraw your consent at any moment, without any justification, for all the processing activities described in this Privacy Policy for which the legal basis of the processing is your consent;
  • Right in case of death: according to article 85 of French law on data protection, you can define directives relating to the preservation, the erasure or to the communication of your personal data by Legrand Group after your death. These directives can be general or specific. Directives shall relate to your personal data and can be registered to a Digital trusted third-party certified by the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés. Specific directives shall relate to the processing of personal data described in this Privacy Policy, and can be registered with us.

To exercise one of these rights, you can send your request to us, at any moment, by using the contact details provided in section “Contact us and contact our DPO” below. The requests will be processed if you are able to prove your identity, and if your request is clear and identified. Requests will be processed in the best delays and in any case in a maximum delay of one (1) month from the reception of your request. If necessary, this period can be extended to two (2) months, according to the complexity of the request and to the number of requests. In this situation, we will inform you of the reasons of this extension. No payment is required for the exercise of your rights, except in case of excessive or unfounded demand.

In addition to the rights described above, you have the right to file a complaint, at any moment, to the competent control authority. For instance, according to GDPR, you can file such a complaint in the country where you reside or where you work or where the alleged infringement took place, if you have grounds to believe that the processing of your personal data infringes the applicable Data Protection Regulation. In France, the control authority is the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés (“CNIL”).

 

MODALITIES OF DATA PROCESSING

Personal data processing is performed with manual and computer means. This processing has for sole purpose the objectives indicated, with a view to ensure the confidentiality and the security of the data.

 

ACCESS TO THE DATA

Only the following have access to your personal data, in the limits of their respective attributions:

  • Internal services of Legrand Group, in order to process your requests and to manage the Website: Sales department of the country concerned by the demand, Communication service, Marketing service, teams in charge of the management of the Website.
  • Subsidiaries of Legrand Group, in order to process your requests when they concern their field of activity, or in order to send you commercial prospection.
  • Service provider Runiso, based in France, in charge of the hosting of the data collected of the Website.
  • Service provider Trait singulier, based in France, in charge of the management of the Website’s content.
  • Service provider Capgemini, based in France, in charge of the Website maintenance.
  • Google which benefits from an access to your navigation data on our Website when you accept it through the cookie banner (Google Analytics). We inform you that our relationship with Google is framed by standard data protection clauses duly approved by European Commission, and as such, any eventual transfer of data outside of European Union would be executed in conditions of security and confidentiality deemed adequate regarding European regulation. We inform you that the service providers and processors above-mentioned are subjected to a commitment of confidentiality and can use your data solely according to the contractual provisions and to the applicable legislation.

 

DATA SECURITY

Legrand Group has taken physical, electronic and administrative protection measures, adequate and compliant with the regulation to protect your personal data. Legrand Group desires to draw your attention on the eventual risks of confidentiality related to the functioning of Internet. You have to put in place or to ensure the existence of means securing your personal computer network, and to ensure the correct configuration of your connection device (box) connected to your internet service provider and to other wireless access (e.g. WIFI, 4G, etc.).

 

LESS THAN FIFTEEN YEARS OLD

Minors of less than 15 years old are not the target audience of the Website. However, access to the Website is not reserved to adults because it does not have any contents forbidden to minors of less than 15 years old.

The Website does not collect nor use intentionally personal information concerning minors of less than 15 years old. If information relating to a minor are gathered by the Website, the legal representative of the minor can contact Legrand Group customer support to rectify, modify, or delete these information (see article above “Exercise of the users’ rights”).
